Sheikh Mohammad Taqi Zakiri, head of the office of the Grand Religious Authority, Ayatollah al-Uzma Sayyid Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi (may his shadow be extended), in the holy city of Najaf, hosted Hujjat al-Islam Sayyid Ali Maksousi, Director of Religious Guidance in Addiction and Mental Health Treatment Centers of Najaf, along with his accompanying delegation.

The meeting was also attended by Faez Al-Khalidi, Director of Public Relations and Media at the Drug Control Department of Najaf. Discussions focused on strategies to improve the condition of recovered individuals, restore their self-confidence, form a special task force and a committee to follow up on their needs, and provide support to their families.

Sheikh Zakiri emphasized several important strategic points during the meeting, stressing the importance of portraying the true image of Islam through such humanitarian efforts. He also called for enhanced cooperation with the religious outreach department.
