Misbah al-Hussain School in the city of Herat, Afghanistan, continues to provide educational services to hundreds of students from migrant and orphan families.
Established by the Misbah al-Hussain Cultural and Charitable Institute in Holy Karbala and operating under the supervision of the office of Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq Hosseini Shirazi (may his shadow endure), this school accepts students from kindergarten to secondary levels across three academic shifts. It aims to address part of the educational gap in Afghanistan—a country struggling with severe humanitarian and educational challenges.
The school’s administrators have stated that their primary goal is to provide education and empower the children of deprived and displaced families, especially orphans. This initiative aligns with the Shia Marja’iyyah’s guidance regarding the necessity of supporting the needy and striving to build a brighter future for vulnerable children.
Previously, it had been announced that the school was founded to create an educational and nurturing environment in a society suffering from the consequences of war, poverty, and displacement, serving as a model for educational and humanitarian service.
