The branch of the Al-Khayr wal-Baraka Cultural Association in the city of Mahmudiya, Iraq, has successfully concluded its activities during the days of Muharram, as planned. These programs were carried out under the direct supervision of Hujjat al-Islam Sheikh Muqaddad Al-Baghdadi, head of the association, with the active cooperation of branch members.
According to documented reports, these activities included: participation in welcoming and organizing the Hussaini processions (Mawakib) in Mahmudiya district, attending some mourning gatherings during the nights of Muharram, meeting with military and security commanders to coordinate the processions, holding various meetings with religious, tribal, and academic figures, providing humanitarian aid including food, medicine, and financial assistance to needy families, holding Ashura ceremonies featuring the recitation of Maqtal and enactment of Ta'ziya plays, visiting ill believers, and more.
It is noteworthy that the Al-Khayr wal-Baraka Cultural Association is affiliated with the religious authority (Marja'iyya), with its main branch located in Baghdad.
