The Misbah al-Hussein Peace be Upon Him Cultural and Charitable Institute, one of the centers operating under the supervision of the office of Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq Husseini Shirazi (may God prolong his life) in the holy city of Karbala, in Iraq, continues its humanitarian aimed at supporting orphans and needy families.
Coinciding with the arrival of the blessed Ghadeer Holiday and the renewal of allegiance to the Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali (peace be upon him), the Institute prepared a range of humanitarian services for the underprivileged, most notably the distribution of food baskets. This initiative was inspired by the conduct of the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) in caring for the poor.
According to the Institute, the distribution of aid was carried out across several areas of Karbala province. In this phase, more than six hundred families listed in the Institute’s support registry benefited from the provided aid.
Furthermore, by utilizing the “Misbah Card” credit system, the Institute has enabled orphans and families under its care to select and purchase the food items they need. This method not only preserves the dignity of the beneficiaries but also allows for greater flexibility in meeting their needs.
The Misbah al-Hussein Peace be Upon Him Institute affirmed that it will continue its support, and relief throughout the year through various initiatives, aiming to strengthen social solidarity and promote a culture of mercy, and generosity in society.
