On the night of the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Zain al-Abideen, Imam Ali ibn al-Hussein (peace be upon him), the office of Grand Ayatollah al-Udhma Sayyid Sadiq Hosseini Shirazi in Damascus, Syria, hosted a special mourning gathering.
The event commenced with the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an. Following this, Hujjat al-Islam Sayyid Riyadh Hussein ascended the Hussaini pulpit and delivered a sermon reflecting on the heartbreaking tragedy of Imam al-Sajjad’s martyrdom, highlighting parts of his luminous life and the injustices he faced.
The ceremony was attended by scholars, seminary students, and groups of faithful believers.
