A mourning gathering marking the nights of Safar was held on the eve of Safar 6, 1448 AH, at the home of Scholar Sayyid Ahmad Shirazi, son of the Supreme Religious Authority, Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq Husseini Shirazi, in Kuwait.
Held in an atmosphere of sorrow for Prophet Muhammad's Household, peace be upon them, the gathering brought together scholars, seminary students, and followers of the Prophet's family, who commemorated their suffering through mourning and elegies.
