On the evening of Monday, June 2, 2025, a mourning ceremony commemorating the martyrdom of Imam Muhammad al-Baqir (peace be upon him) was held at the office of Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq al-Husayni al-Shirazi (may his shadow be prolonged) in Tehran.
The ceremony was attended by a number of religious, cultural, and social figures, along with members of the general public in mourning.
Following the congregational Maghrib and Isha prayers, the participants honored the memory of the ninth leader in the line of Shia Imams (including the Prophet and Lady Fatima) through elegies and traditional mourning rituals.
