The mourning ceremonies for Sayyid al-Shuhada, Imam Husayn (peace be upon him), began on the first night of Muharram 1447 AH at the Anwar al-Jawadayn (peace be upon them) Institute, one of the centers affiliated with the Marja’iyyah in Baghdad.
These gatherings were attended by a group of believers and devotees of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them). The program opened with the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an, followed by a religious lecture delivered by Hujjat al-Islam Sheikh Muhammad al-Zubaidi. The ceremony concluded with mourning rituals performed by the attendees.
